The T.E.A.M. Framework
The MEGA Big Picture
In an age of five-minute devotionals and shallow opinions, Savage Mercies provides deep-dive research into the most difficult theological and cultural questions. We don’t just give you an answer; we show you the work.
Think of it like this: on any topic, a multitude of disciplines can give you different pieces of information. We work to bring them all together to get the most complete answer possible.
Every dispatch we publish is built on the T.E.A.M. Framework:
⚓ T - Theological Anchor
We begin with scripture- our research does not reinterpret scripture, but finds supporting evidence for what scripture has to say. We look at how the Church Fathers, the Reformers, and the Puritans answered these questions. If it hasn't stood the test of 500+ years, we approach it with extreme caution.
📖 E - Exegetical Analysis
We saturate our research with Scripture. We look at the original Hebrew and Greek, the immediate context of the passage, and the broader "whole-Bible" theology. Our goal is to let the Text speak louder than our preferences.
Where possible, we look at Arheological documents, original manuscripts, and ancient texts across history to give the most complete picture on a topic as we can. Our library is always evolving and expanding, so we expect the system to get smarter over time.
🏛️ A - Argument Construction
We apply logical rigor. Theology is not just feeling; it is truth. We build clear, coherent arguments that help you defend your faith and teach others with confidence. Whilst simultaneously making these deep theological terms and arguments accessible to everyone.
🛡️ M - Misuse Prevention
We provide practical guardrails. Every truth can be twisted. We identify the common ways people misuse these doctrines (e.g., turning Sovereignty into fatalism or Grace into license) and show you how to stay on the path.
We believe the best commentary on the Bible IS The Bible (Sola Scriptura). Therefore, our research material aligns with that principle.
